Note: All events are held on the Museum grounds at 155 West Bay Road in Osterville and open to the public. Directions can be found on our web site.

MAY

 

Lady of the Sound, in conjunction with Maritime Week 

Date & Time: May 17 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm 11:00 am
                    LADY OF THE SOUND showing at 11:00 am

Program: Boat Shops open for tours in conjunction with Maritime Heritage Week. Come see six spectacular full-size wooden boats including Catboats, a Wianno Senior and Junior, photo exhibit, boat building tools, and marine artifacts. The shops also contain an impressive, newly restored mural of the Osterville waterfront painted in 1946 by Vernon Coleman, a local artist well known for his WPA-funded paintings of Cape Cod scenes.

Program: Author C.L. Fornari, will be speaking on opening gardens for the summer season! Join us to hear this inspiring artist speak.

Private tour of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum

Date & Time: May 21 

Program: OHS, in collaboration with Centerville Historical Society, is offering to their members a private tour of the Isabella Stewart Gardener museum in Boston.  Bus transportation will be provided.   Space is limited, please call to ahead to reserve (508) 428-5861.

Charge: Members $43.00 / Non-members $48.00

JUNE

Opening Day Festivities

Date & Time: June 14th 1:30 to 4:30 PM

Program: Opening Day Festivities at the Museum featuring - Program TBD

Charge: Community Day - no charge, donations welcomed

JULY

Village Day Antique Car Parade

Date & Time: July 19th 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Program: Village Day Antique Car Parade. Enjoy viewing over 75 antique cars up close on the Museum grounds prior to, or after, the 34th annual Village Day Parade. The cars lead the parade down Main Street at 1:00 pm and return to the Museum. The museum complex is open for tours as well.

AUGUST

17th annual Antique Show

Date & Time: August 14th 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM rain date Friday, August 15th

Program: This is a high quality outdoor antique show that draws 500 people with more than thirty top quality dealers selling a variety of antiques and collectibles ranging from furnishings, linens, china, artwork, accessories and more.

Charge: $5 per person

September

Charge: Members $45, Non-Members $50 per person  

DECEMBER

Annual Holiday Open house

Date & Time: December 12th 2:00 to 5:00 PM

Program: During the 38th annual Christmas Stroll in Osterville, the Museum sparkles in holiday greenery. Light refreshments are served, while entertainment, such as harp music, is enjoyed.
